Legislative Breakfast

In March, IALL members hosted a breakfast at the Iowa Capitol. It was a great opportunity to thank our legislators for the continued support of Iowa's community colleges. Here are a few pictures from the event.
A Note From Your IALL Legislative Chair >
The 2019 IALL Legislative Breakfast was held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the State Capitol. IALL members in attendance were President Amy Hueser (WITCC), Treasurer Rachel Koehler (IVCCD), Amy Pingle (ICCC), Andrea Knutson (NICC), Jamie Malek (NIACC), and Steve Allison (IHCC).
The IALL group welcomed a number of Legislators and their representatives to the event that wrapped up a very busy ‘Funnel Week’ for our Senators and Representatives.
The feeling of those in attendance was that the session was going a little smoother than past sessions and it appears that funding for Community Colleges and Workforce Preparation will not be in jeopardy this year. We’ll keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
Thanks to all for attending and having a presence at the Capitol is always a positive for the mission of Workforce Training and Higher Education as a whole.
